Samsung Unpacked 5 event at MWC on 24th Feb Likely Galaxy S5 Launch

Samsung in style yet again, has sent out invitations to us for an “UNPACKED” event at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) on 24th February 2014 in Barcelona and we are fairly positive it would be the launch platform for the Samsung Galaxy S5.

It’s a plain little invite giving out nothing much except just the caption and a round seal of UNPACKED 5, this can probably infer at the unveiling of the Galaxy S5.

There hasn’t been much on the actual specifications of the phone but there are many rumors out there and by diligently filtering the most credible, we know much about what might go inside the Galaxy S5.

The phone is proposed to be the first of the lot with a 64 bit Quad-core 2.5Ghz processor possibly a Samsung Exynos 6 processor, 3GB RAM, 5 inch 2560×1440 pixel resolution for LCD display, a 20 MP rear Primary Camera,  2 MP Front Camera, 2850 MAh battery, Android OS 4.4 Kitkat and a finger print sensor like an iPhone 5S.

Word is out that the Touchwiz UI has taken a complete revamp and overhaul in the Galaxy S5, making it look almost like the Google, but we have to wait for some time still to actually ascertain this.

There are also speculations that the Galaxy S5 could be released in two models of metal and plastic variants, the metal variant at a slightly expensive position compared to the plastic model. Talks are also out that in conjunction with the unveiling of the Galaxy S5, Samsung may also unpack the second generation Galaxy Gear Smartwatch.
