BBM now offers stickers, upto 16MB file transfers and more coming soon

BlackBerry in another attempt to woo its clientele and to add more flavor to the existing messaging solution BBM has added support for Stickers with the new update released lately, which would be available across all the different App stores respectively for BBM, Android and iOS users.

“Stickers are another great example of how we’re making the BBM experience more engaging and fun for our customers,” said David Proulx, Senior Director, BBM at BlackBerry. “Stickers let you personalize your chats and strike the right chord with people around the world who rely on stickers in chats when they connect with colleagues, family, friends, peers and partners.”

There are a variety of the BBM sticker packs that are being offered which can be free or bought from inside the BBM app starting from $1.99 USD with payments through the respective App Stores, each sticker pack would roughly contain 20-25 stickers based on different themes like ‘Shaun the Sheep’ , ‘CosCat’, ‘Gilbert’s Tales’ and the WWE. While WWE stickers would be given free with the new upgrade.

Another major addition with the new update of BBM is the ability to share photos in multi person chats which would be delivered as thumbnails and clicking on them would open the full image and adding more to what is already better is the fact that the BBM now supports up to 16MB file transfers in the chat, facilitating sharing of higher quality photos and videos between the users.
